rare and unusual Victorian SOLID SILVER BOOKMARK made in the form of a Scimitar Sword. The unusual handle is made from mother of pearl. This high quality Silver Bookmark was made by the well-known and sought after silversmiths of Adie & Lovekin in 1898.
The bookmark has a slot in it so that it can be slipped over a page in a book, marking it for you. This rare bookmark has not been engraved with a previous owner’s initials or family monogram.
The body has been impressed with a full set of English solid sterling silver hallmarks and the bookmark is in excellent condition despite being over 120 years old.
This Superb Victorian Book or Page Marker would make a superb addition to any collection or a gift that can still be used today.
