This large VICTORIAN SILVER MOUNTED EASEL MIRROR was made by the well-known silversmith Henry Matthews in 1897.
The mirror is mounted with a silver surround with pierced lattice, scroll and floral decoration and has a blank cartouche to the top. The easel mount is covered in the original blue velvet material.
Despite the mirror being over 125 years old, the silver mount is in excellent condition with no broken, missing, or damaged pieces. The blue velvet material is in amazing condition with no tears or wear and clearly the mirror has had little actual use during its long life. Unfortunately, the mirror itself is showing signs of age and has some fogging and spotting which is not unusual for a mirror of this age.
A fabulous Antique Silver Mounted Mirror in excellent condition which would look stunning in any setting.
Condition:
Used / Excellent
There is no damage and no repairs.
Note: Mirror has some fogging and spots commensurate with age.
