This stunning SILVER MILK JUG was made by Michael Starkey in 1837.
Raised on an applied and embossed circular foot with four beautifully embossed feet, this superb Silver Milk Jug has a fabulous chased and engraved acanthus leaf and scroll decoration to the body and the handle. The body has two cartouches one of which is blank; the other has a later added engraving of a stag. The jug retains the original vibrant gilt interior.
Despite being almost 185 years old, this fabulous Solid Silver Jug is in excellent condition with very little sign of use or wear and is a superb piece in amazing condition for its age.

One cartouche has an engraved family emblem of a stag.
